Finding Your Rental Home

Create A Plan

There are several reasons to move to a rental: lifestyle change, relocating after a new job, testing a neighborhood or co-op/condo building before committing to a purchase, etc.

Rentals go quickly so it helps to create a plan so no time is wasted. Are your real estate goals short-term or long-term? What can you afford each month? Is your end goal to purchase?

You don't have to go through the process alone. A real estate agent who's in-the-know of the local market can provide guidance and help you clarify your needs.

Let's get started.

Quick Glimpse Into The Renting Process

The process will vary, but this is generally how it goes:

  • We solidify your real estate needs, budget, and timeline.

  • We tour a few rentals in your neighborhood of interest(s).

  • We look at comparables in the area to determine the fair market rent.

  • We review the lease and negotiate, if necessary.

  • If renting in a co-op or condo, we ensure all paperwork is complete and correct.

  • Time to sign the lease!
